Iran on full alert in wake of Israeli raids

The remarks come as Israeli strikes on Gaza entered a fifth day, without an end in sight to the largest assault on the beleaguered strip in decades.

Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Tuesday that the fierce Israeli air assault on Gaza, which "aims to root out Hamas and the Palestinians", would only lead to the "disintegration of the Israeli regime".

Facing growing international pressure, Israel's top leaders have so far rejected the idea of a temporary ceasefire.

Israel is also massing its gunboats near the Gaza port and its ground forces along the border with Gaza in preparation for a possible ground offensive.

Earlier on Monday, a senior Iranian commander floated the idea that the time has come for Muslims to militarily stop Israeli crimes in Gaza.

Iran may run their mouth, but they don't have the balls to intefere with Israel, nor do the other Islamic states. Besides, these Mideast dictatorships love Israel beating up on Hamas and the palestinians; it's like entertainment for their people and a great scape goat for all of their problems.

As long ago as when English & French knights (far superior on paper) attacked these very same people, found that one man defending his home was in battle worth 10 attacking Knights on horseback in that particular terrain.


Street to street fighting is very difficult.

The defender has a key advantage of knowing the area well.

If Israel attacks on the ground it may not lose the battle, but it will be very costly.


There will be all sorts of ready made booby traps you can bet, just wating for their victim.


And as far as I am concerned anybody who thinks Israelis are worth more than Palestinians, should be advised Palestinians are worth more than most Americans who are regarded by many of the world community as low quality people.

Since Vietnam the US has lost the ability to fight a war to win. I'm sure the military industrial complex likes it that way. However, Israel has the will and motivation to fight a war properly evident by the fact that they are still around while surrounded by enemies.

And yes we mean old Americans are seen as low quality people until someone comes to us begging for money. Everyone loves to beg for money from the US. Our own people are even in on it now.

And Victor, relax, this is just a forum to discuss things. Imagine how boring it would be if we all agreed on everything. It's okay to disagree, no need to jump off in the gutters.
