How workers resist recession
Despite fears of unemployment, some of the most inspiring struggles have taken place against the backdrop of a recession, writes Sadie Robinson
"There needs to be very robust action from trade unions to stop redundancies.
Strikes are not enough - occupations are required. The nature of the crisis means that we have to start demanding things which we have not demanded for years - for example, trade union and taxpayers' seats on the boards of banks. The time is now for raising issues of industrial democracy."
