Default Pastor: Electing Obama was a sin

Don't let this article make you think Wichita is a bad place. We really like it. Wichita is our big city get away spot. ZingPao

A local church marquee is raising eyebrows by calling the president-elect a Muslim.

WICHITA, Kansas, November 14, 2008 -- It's the ultimate battle: Church vs. State. But this one is quite different from the rest. A local church is calling the recent presidential election a sin against God, raising eyebrows with a sign calling the president elect a Muslim.

The Marquee outside Spirit One Christian Center on Harry is raising ire and eyebrows. It echoes unsubstantiated claims on the Internet that the president-elect is a Muslim and says the nation must repent for electing him.

'The main point of the marquee is to cause Christians to understand he's not a Christian,' said Pastor Mark Holick of Spirit One. 'They call and tell me he's not a Muslim he's a Christian. That's not the point. The point is he's not a Christian.'

Pastor Holick has a history of causing controversy with his politics on his marquee outside his church, but he says nothing he's ever done has caused more controversy than calling Obama a Muslim.

'What's the world coming to?' asked Wichitan Alan Smith. 'You got a Christian. He's prejudiced. Everybody else ought to be prejudiced to? Is that what he's trying to say?'

What Pastor Holick says he's trying to say is electing Obama was a sin because Obama isn't an evangelical Christian. Obama supports abortion rights and tolerance of other religions. Holick is quick to recite Bible verses that say tolerance of the Jewish and Muslim faith is wrong.

'Jesus said in john 14:6, ‘I am the way the truth and the light. No man can come to the father but through me,'' Pastor Holick said. 'That's probably one of the most intolerant belief systems on the face of the earth.'

Last year, the IRS Threatened Holick with revocation of his church's tax exempt status because of his political views. Those efforts were dropped after IRS investigators met with the pastor.

I know where we can get billions of tax revenue..

Thats right lets piss obama off so he will tax the churches, as he is the antichrist.

Then they can say what they want,if they go by revenue, most will make the 32 percent tax bracket as they are big business.
