US rockers The Foo Fighters became the latest band to complain about the Republican election campaign's unauthorised use of their song on Wednesday.
The rockers wrote to Republican presidential candidate John McCain telling him to stop using My Hero.
"The saddest thing about this is that My Hero was written as a celebration of the common man and his extraordinary potential," the band said in a statement.
"To have it appropriated without our knowledge and used in a manner that perverts the original sentiment of the lyric just tarnishes the song."
The band noted that it is not the first time Mr McCain has been told to stop using a song.
John Mellencamp, Heart and Jackson Browne have also complained. Mr Browne even filed a lawsuit.
