Verification on Oil Shale article

I read this article: http://www.rinf.com/columnists/news/...-oil-discovery in which it claims US has trillions of barrels of oil via oil shale. I was unable to find any verification of this on the govt sites listed as sources.

Could someone involved with this organisation please provide links that verify this claim?
