The audacity of Guantanamo

We have always been given the impression that a person is innocent until proven guilty and not the other way round. This has been the precedence in the justice system through out the history of the US.

But after 9/11, 2001, this changed and anyone in the wrong place at the wrong time, such as Afghanistan, was fair game to be seized, incarcerated in Guantanamo Bay and tortured by soldiers and interrogators.

A sane mind would go mad trying to understand how those who boast about their advanced democratic reforms and seek to spread it all over the world, can have the audacity to imprison innocent people untried and uncharged, I mean in the absence of being found guilty of a crime, for half a decade.

If and when they are released from the prison, they may become prime candidates for suicidal tendencies, living a life of paranoia and their embittered loved ones may well be the next generation with explosives in their hands.

The intensity of the recent war in Lebanon reveals the truth that Israel is the real culprit, always prepared to shed a sea of blood from innocent people.

Israel has the audacity to claim that Hizbollah is the right arm of Iran, but the way it is supported by US President George Bush and his regime indicates that Israel is the major organ of the US, or vice-versa.

Even after calls started pouring in from all over the world, including the best ally of the US, by which I mean Britain, to stop the killing and cease the war immediately, Israel continued its attack, to the extent of dropping outlawed mustard bombs.

The Zionist media lobby is like a spider, spreading its web throughout the top positions in the US Congress, the Democratic and Republican Party and then creating all the mischief that is turning this world into a human slaughterhouse.

The mystifying part in this whole ordeal is that those who claim to be the victims at the hands of Hitler should be more wary of being seen by others as the perpetrators of another genocidal persecution, but who cares if the most powerful military state is behind you.

In return, the top Al Qaeda brains are willing to take the credit and responsibility for any explosion or atrocity, whether genuinely involved or not.

But such bragging causes other Muslims serious discomfort, since they are all seen as suspects.

More than 20 Muslims were picked up for interrogation in Britain, after the alleged plot to blow up planes over the Atlantic, as they flew from the UK to the US.

The rich Muslim community should invest heavily in the western media, to make it understand that Islam is a religion of peace and is being unfairly vilified.

By taking this initiative forcefully we can negate the defamatory accusations made against us and make use of freedom of speech and expression, to make the Americans and others in the western world realise we are not their enemies.

We all know the Zionists are champions at lobbying and could be behind a conspiracy to kindle such misunderstandings between the Muslims and the Western world, by which I mean the governments and not the people.

The people of the West have objected on every occasion a Muslim country has come under attack, for instance Iraq and Lebanon, but unfortunately their efforts have been in vain.
