RFID Bins: Orwellian nightmare on our doorstep
Editors Note: This is the area which I live in, it’s amazing.. the majority people do not fully understand the meaning of this. The council have repeatedly lied about the use of these chips and have now finally admitted they are placing them in our bins.
We need to make a stand against this, and you do too.. because sooner or later these chips will be used in everyday life, more so than they already are. It’s up to us to let people know about this very real and very frightening threat to our civil liberties.
This is not a wild conspiracy theory, this is not fiction. Search You-tube and see how all the ‘cool kids’ show you how easy it is to have these implanted.
People are helping to build an Orwellian nightmare for the sake of short lived convenience.
This is quiet literally, on our doorstep
Councils have admitted they are fitting wheelie bins with microchips to monitor how often they are being emptied.
South Ribble, West Lancashire, Lancaster and Wyre councils have bins which are fitted with tiny devices to thousands of bins for non-recyclable rubbish.
The chips have been built into the underside of bins across the county to help binmen return them to their right location.
Preston Council is not adopting the scheme but residents elsewhere fear the data could be used to charge homes if they do not recycle enough of their waste.
In South Ribble, they were installed as part of the council’s new waste collection scheme, introduced to the 45,000 households in the borough.
Initially Wyre Council denied having plans for microchips but after being confronted with evidence of this happening in Catterall near Garstang it changed its statement.
Alan Verrall, from Ridge Way, Penwortham, who discovered the microchip in his bin, said: “The council should come clean and tell us what information they are collecting and what it is being used for.”
A spokeswoman for West Lancashire Council: “The information the council is able to obtain from the chip relates only to the property the bin belongs to and the time and date that it has been emptied.”
