Republican Candidate for Congress Tells It Like It is: 9/11 Attacks Were a Hoax

Surprisingly, a Republican candidate for Congress is speaking out about 9/11 as being a hoax and has as the mainstay of her platform being a return to the true meaning of the constitution.

Tumerica

A lot of my fellow Progressive Democrats take some justifiable pleasure in attacking Republicans in general. But when we do, we make sweeping judgments that may unfairly impugn, believe it or not, good Republicans. Yes, there are a few. Why enlightened people choose to join the Republican party, I don’t understand. But this is definitely the case for one such woman—Mary Maxwell, who has a PhD in politics, no less, has lived for 25 years in Australia (giving her ample perspective on U.S. policies from across the pond), and is running for Congress in Massachusetts. She met with the editorial board of the Nashua Telegraph, and this transpired:

“. . . Mary Maxwell, said the U.S. government had a role in killing nearly 3,000 people at the World Trade Center and Pentagon, so it could make Americans hate Arabs and allow the military to bomb Muslim nations such as Iraq.

” . . . she implicated the government by saying the Sept. 11 attacks were meant ‘to soften us up … to make us more willing to have more stringent laws here, which are totally against the Bill of Rights … to make us particularly focus on Arabs and Muslims … and those strange persons who spend all their time creating little bombs,’ giving Americans a reason ‘to hate them and fear them and, therefore, bomb them in Iraq for other reasons.’”

Wow. My head spins from the unlikelihood of hearing such words come out of a Republican’s mouth—and from hearing the truth come out of a Republican’s—no wait—to be fair, from any U.S. politico’s mouth. Wow.

Wait—there’s more . . . quoting the Nashua Telegraph, once again,

“In turn, the Sept. 11 attacks ‘made the ground fertile’ for more stringent laws, such as the Patriot Act, and the creation of the Department of Homeland Security, Maxwell said.”

Many of us have suspected or even adamantly proclaimed the same things—loss of civil liberties, government complicity in the attacks of 9/11, false rationale for the war against Iraq—but to hear it all put together like that in a public way? Thrilling. Vindicating. Check out the article here. And learn more about Maxwell here. She’s worried about impending martial law in this country, and she’s worried about protecting the Constitution. Yes, you heard that right—protecting the Constitution is a big focus of her platform. And she’s angry that the mainstream media have not been forthcoming in exploring the “government’s role in the terrorist attacks or proliferation of nuclear weapons.” The same stuff we worry about daily.

Thank God! Someone with sense and insight is talking to the press about 9/11. Could this be the beginning of more discussion of 9/11 events by mainstream media? One can hope.
