Ousted congresswoman told truth about Bush
U.S. Rep. Cynthia McKinney of Georgia was the only Democrat to tell it like it is. She was ousted by the party bigwigs because she was so outspoken. Her last act was to introduce a bill to impeach Bush. In it she states “Bush violated his oath of office to defend the Constitution and the nation’s laws.” She also accused him of “misleading Congress about the war in Iraq and violating privacy laws with his domestic spying.” Everything she says is right on target and the illustrious new Speaker-elect Nancy Pelosi says she will not entertain proposals to sanction Bush. This tells me the “politicians,” no matter what party they belong to, are all just down in Washington playing games and we (the voters) are just pawns in a self-serving chess game.
Let’s face it, Bush is without a doubt the worst president this country has had in my lifetime. McKinney has suggested that Bush had prior knowledge about the 9/11 attack but kept it quiet to allow friends to profit from its aftermath. This is almost unthinkable but I believe it is partially true, due to his deep-seated denial of all things negative. Just look at his record of denial in the Iraq war.
For the good of this country, the president should step down along with his cohort Dick Cheney. But before he gets rid of Cheney, appoint James Baker or Lee Hamilton vice president.
Maybe one of them can return this country to some semblance of respectability.
