Laws!, What Laws
29/03/06 (RINF) — The Australian Wheat Board (AWB), a privately owned corporation that is in charge of most of Australia’s wheat handling has recently fallen foul of the law. It has been brought to light that this company is, and has been involved in paying cash bribes to transport companies under Saddam Husain’s regime. Cash used by anti-coalition forces perhaps.
Many senior business and government figures have substantial investments in AWB, including until recently our own Minister for Foreign Affairs , Minister Alexander Downer. Many others sold their stocks when they found out that AWB was drawing interest from coalition security agencies.
The Cole Inquiry has been assembled to investigate any wrong doing. This on going inquiry is headed by the Honorable Terrence Hudson Cole AC. RFD. QC. The Cole inquiry has the full support of the Governor General.
Cash was forbidden as a trading commodity by the UN, so as to make it that much more difficult for the ‘rebel dictatorship’ to obtain WOMD technology and munitions, thus the ‘food for oil’ program was introduced.
What is really interesting in this case, is that AWB has been successfully refusing to give up ‘privileged’ documents to the Cole inquiry. After all these new anti terror laws have been introduced, laws that allow the courts to make a Journalist reveal their sources and erode our liberty as citizens, corporations, with powerful share holders are still able to get away with antiquated ‘privilege’ laws. The Australian wheat warmers have voted to ‘leave AWB alone’ until a review of its management in 2010!
Australians post 11/09/01 terror laws, have to this stage only been used on domestic targets, Bikie Gangs in some ares, Ethnic Gangs in others. Never have they been used to foil a serious plot, and unless it is politically beneficial to act, they will perhaps even sit on information. The recent race riots in Sydney’s Cronulla Beach are a perfect example of this. Authorities knew of the text messages being sent very early on, stirring trouble yet did nothing to stop them, a pretty simple task as Australia’s tel co, Telstra, is still largely publicly owned.
So whilst ratings agencies like Moody’s attempt to artificially inflate the share prices of AWB and its subsidiaries and the Cole inquiry battles for important documentation. Aussie, and other Coalition force soldiers are killed for the sake of a quick buck by an elitist few.
