Is There Anything From the Bush Administration That We Believe?

Today, I read the following paragraph and it seems to have awakened me:

It seems to me that just about everything we are being told by our government and our news media is questionable since Bush took office in 2000. Maybe, the past was also covered in lies, but it seems that since this man’s shadow was cast over our country (and world) every speech, every law, every action he takes is not what it was perceived to be. Also, many events taking place in the world are not really due to the explanations we are given by our government and our media.

All of us have been told by this president and by Israel that the Lebanon invasion was a last minute decision on the part of Israel to rescue two soldiers “kidnapped” by Hezbolah in Lebanon. But if we pay close attention, we learn that the “kidnap” story was as much an excuse to invade Lebanon as WMDs were the excuse for Bush to invade Iraq. Many worldwide media told a different story. These two Israeli soldiers were “captured” while on a military mission deep inside Lebanon territory. We also learn that Dick Cheney had had a lengthy meeting with a couple of high-up Israeli government figures about a month before the invasion.

This all brings about my opinion. Israel planned for many months on invading and annexing Southern Lebanon in order to create a security buffer zone and also in order to control the Litani River deep inside Lebanon. Chaim Weizmann, head of the World Zionist Organization, in 1919 declared the river “essential to the future of the Jewish national home”.

Now, back to the main question of this article, about everything we believe being a lie and why I saw this clearer since Bush came into power. First, every law that has been passed and every “turning point” does exactly the opposite of the title it is given. The “No Child Left Behind” Act, does actually that: it leaves poor children behind and the further behind they get, funding is taken away and they get even further back. The Clean Sky initiative allows companies to pollute the air more than they did before the act.

As far as turning points, we all know what happened after “Mission (was) Accomplished” - it wasn’t. About a year ago, Dick Cheney said, “the insurgency is in it’s last throes” and things have gotten worse since. It’s been over two years that Donald Rumsfeld said Iraq was not a “Quagmire”: and of course we know it’s worse than that and now it’s a civil war.

We all by now know that we were taken into the Iraq invasion under false pretenses.

Most of you have already had proof that most of Mr. Bush’s “town hall” meetings and even conferences with soldiers in Iraq were prearranged staged events. Most of us know that even the toppling of Saddam’s statue in Baghdad was staged for the media and was not toppled by the Iraqi general population. We also learned later that the “rescue” of Jessica Lynch, was a professional “movie shoot”.

The above and many more situations have proved to me that the entire Bush presidency has been a make-believe nightmare. But, I now start looking back to 9/11 and find that so many questions about that day’s event have been left unanswered and for every question answered, many new questions appear. Much has probably been thrown out there to “muddy the water” so that the truth will never be known. Questions about building 7, about stock options on American and United airlines, about the billions of dollars of missing gold., about Jews not coming to work on 9/11, about explosions before the three building fell, about the billions that the owners of the WTC made due to terror attacks, about the FBI having the names and pictures of the 19 hijackers just a couple of days after the attacks, about some of these hijackers still being possibly alive, about why the Saudi royalty was allowed to fly out of the US when all US air traffic was grounded , etc.. You can find many websites that will have hundreds of additional unanswered questions.

And lately, I’m reading more and more about the American people not having been told the truth on the downing of TWA 800, on the Israelis’ attack on the SS Liberty, on our government knowing in advance that Pearl Harbor was going to be attacked, and on the fact that Japan was ready to surrender before the US dropped the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. By the way, talk about “collateral damage” in that attack. Most of those killed were civilians.

And of course, I don’t have to mention JFK’s assassination.

So, do we really know the truth about anything in our country and our world and our history? “The Matrix” is here, now.
