10th European Hazards Conference September 29th to October 1st 2006, Beach Hotel, Jurmula, LATVIA
“Workers finding a voice in a new Europe”
Bringing together workplace activists from the older and new EU member states together with occupational health and safety specialists and academics, this conference aims:
• To work for equality of health & safety protection across Europe;
• To build support for the role of trade unions and their representatives on health and safety issues;
• To raise awareness at European level (and beyond) of the danger of the new member states and other parts of the world becoming a pool of cheap and at-risk labour;
• To extend the EWHN to new member states; and
• To provide a platform for the development of national work hazards networks in the Baltic countries and throughout Europe.

We are looking for committed activists who wish to use this Conference to help co-workers in new EU states address the safety-at-work agenda and to learn more about the wider European Safety programme.
