Bush cartoon satire set for US TV
A cartoon satire of US President George Bush is to make its TV debut on US channel Comedy Central.
Mr Bush and key members of his administration are portrayed as children in Lil’ Bush: Resident of the United States.
In one scene Lil’ Bush is seen torturing cafeteria staff for serving up falafel instead of hot dogs.
Six episodes written by Donick Cary, who also writes for the Simpsons, will be shown on the channel from next year.
The cartoon was first commissioned as a series of five minute clips by mobile phone service Amp’d.
The original episode can also be found on the YouTube website, where it has been watched more 230,000 times.
It is not the first time Comedy Central has scheduled shows which poke fun at Mr Bush.
In 2001 it screened live action spoof That’s My Bush, by South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone.
