This writer sees only the dark side of Sri Lankan Army and the Government. No comments on LTTE. Any body who wishes to know the track record of LTTE, may refer Wikipedia for the crimes LTTE has commited.

I rise from Sri Lanka and I always find your double standards in dealing with Iraq, Afghnistan and Palastine.

You should be ashamed of these reports. At least spend an hour or two to study the history of Sri Lanka before writing this bullshit written on hearsay.

More than 100 children were among a large number of Tamil civilians killed in a weekend "bloodbath" in Sri Lanka, the United Nations' spokesman in Colombo, Gordon Weiss, said Monday.

He said the UN had been warning of a bloodbath as tens of thousands of civilians have been trapped in a narrow patch of coastline where the Tamil Tigers are fighting to hold back a massive military assault.

A doctor working inside the no-fire zone in Sri Lanka today told the Guardian (UK) that more than 1,400 people were believed to have been killed in two days of air and artillery attacks.

The present regime led by Mahinda Rajapkse is responsible for massacres of Tamil civilians, bombing hospitals under LTTE(Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam) control, mass graves, rape, torture, unlawful incarceration, forced disappearances , concentration camps, recruitment of child soldiers, killing NGOs and killing of many journalists. So any person with any sense of decency would expect the western world to come out very hard on Sri Lanka, but sorry to say that Sri Lanka is fully enjoying the support from the West to carry out genocide against Tamils. So Speaking of War crimes at this point is an abosolute waste of time.

If Sri Lanka had told that they have stop heavy shelling, they should stop heavy shelling and respect the civilians.UN, UK, Canada and US must pursue war crime investigation in this matter. There must be fairness in the report. Where are the journalists' report. This gives suspicision that war crimes are committed. Sri Lanka government must cooperate in allowing the journalists to write reports.

Always they say that ltte are the ones killing the Tamils. Then, it is simple, allow the journalist to come in. Be truthrul. If ltte are the ones killing, the journalist will write that the ltte are the ones killing. The International Community has to come in to save lives and not just keep following the same inaction. Allow the journalists to go in. Else, people may only suspect the government doing this misdeeds. When I look at the photos of people dying, it makes us to wonder whether we can help them or not.
