UK Legalizes Taser Use On Children

The Brits have taken a giant leap ahead in the race towards totalitarianism. The police have been given permission to zap all violent suspects, even if they are unarmed and even if they are children. Home Office Police Minister Tony McNulty said medical assessments had confirmed the risk of death or serious injury from Tasers was “low”. The relaxing of restrictions on the use of the weapons comes despite warnings that they could trigger a heart attack in youngsters. But it’s not just children:

The Government scientists were also asked to test whether the weapons could cause a miscarriage if used on a pregnant woman.While not saying whether police would be allowed to Taser an expectant mother, the Home Office said the DSAC committee had “specifically asked” for computer simulations to be carried out to analyse the effect on “a pregnant female”.

Men, women and children shall all face the voltage.

    Tasers save lives every day? That is based on the ironious assumption that they are used in place of fire arms in situations that require deadly force. If you look at the number of reported tasersing in any police jurisdiction you will see that the numbers are (on average, in Canada @ least) several thousand percent higher than pre-taser era drawing of fire arm reports. Proof posative that this "save lives" argument is BS.

    In a sense your right though. Tasers don't kill people COPS KILL PEOPLE…lots of people…indiscriminately…and lie about it…and get away with it… over and over and over again.

    More Daily Mail Rubbish.

    Firstly 96% of British Police are unarmed they do not carry a gun or a taser, and have little more than a Baton, protective vest and spray for protection.

    Secondly Taser will only be issued to officers to some support officers who will undergo training, and who will support those officers risking their lives on the streets.

    Thirdly there are strict rules laid down by both ACPO and the Home Office,

    and they are only to be used in the most extreme situations such as attack by a knifeman on an officer.

    Fourthly any officer who uses a Taser will be immediately open to investigation by the Independent Police Complaints Commision made up of independent legal, medical and other experts, and who as there name suggests are independent from the police.

    British police are not stab proof, and officers in rural areas often have little protection and are unarmed, whilst those in cities face an array of dangers.

    What if jack that an inexperinced officer would use the tazer without thinking, which happens from time to time a police officer isn't a exact science which i understand. But imagine that we are in a George orwell novel and police are merged with the military and our freedom has been eroded, what would we do then?. This is happening to us now if only the masses would open their eyes to such awful invasion of privacy and stop treating the 9/11 movement as mad people and really look in to what happened that day please. Right the bush family have been doing business with the bin ladens for years, george bush was in partnership with osma's brother salem bin laden. for years George and Salem bin-laden ran a oil company called Arbusto energy company. But sadly Salem died in a plane crash in 1988 i bet Mr Bush was deeply unhappy at his business partner dying and he get's all the proceeds. Let's not mention Prescott Bush, George Bush's Grandfather who during the 40's laundered millions of nazi money and was arrested under TRADING WITH THE ENEMY ACT and was let off scott free.
