My experience is very similar. I have so much more control over my thinking mind. A have now come to realize that "thoughts create." That is to say that, the mind has the power of physical manifestation. This, I know. When you continiously give someone else control of your mind you continiously give away your power. Hence, you become power-less. Does anyone know that feeling? Powerlessness? Victimization? Seperation?

After a childhood spending hours glued to the TV for hours a day I had the opportunity to live TV-free for a year. Rather than face ensuing boredom as expected I found the freedom from TV ensured I was never bored again. The constantly shifting images and information is a created false reality. A conclusion I reached after working in the industry producing an entertainment programme. Living without a TV has been one of the best decisions of my life. What worries me is the shock response of people when they hear that I dumped the tube. Their level of use/addiction/reliance is scary. Remember the old 'Why Don't You' programme of the 80s? Recall the lyrics of the Chili Pepper's song? Take control of your mind and end the fast food input of mainstream television.
