just to clear out one point, i saw the sickening video and i feel i should comment on what i read here. the people in uniform in the video were not locals. they seemed -and sounded- to be indians. even at some point the person doing the torture was communicating with them in english and called one of them 'security'.

now, if that film was shot in the desert then it showed be made clear that private security firms are usually hired to guard 'luxurious' camping sites. and this may very well be the case.

The criminal and civil justice system in UAE is a joke. It is not a rational or comprehensive system to begin with, and then its application is arbitrary, inconsistent, whimsical, corruptible, discriminatory, unequal.

There is a need for major reforms to install a fair and impartial system. Mostly these would not undermine the authority of the rulers, so I wonder why no progress is being made on this front.

As it is, I would advise anyone to exercise the ultimate caution here and always look to settle outside of court, regardless of whether your case is cut and dry. Else you may have to deal with hell–I speak from experience!

I am a muslim.living here in UAE from past 20 years.the video tape recorded by sheikh issa brother,clearly shows that the royal family OR other UAe nationals nature is SATAN(IBLEES)nature.They are muslim but totaly denying the rules and regulations of ALLAH AND HIS PROPHET MUHAMMED.

this tape also clearly shows that Abu Dhabi police is also

helping the sheikh to torture the muhammed shah pur.

If I am A judge,i hanged the issa in Public.
