They didnt go looking for the ICICI loans the bank stalked them...didnt you read the article?
This is called preditory lending. No one who falls into financial crisis should be beat to death or pressured into suicide. How barbaric!

Why do you people go to such a great Bank as ICICI, if you cannot repay? How dare you?

Agreed that their hidden charges are the highest in India as are their interest rates. Also that once you sign on the blank document, you do not get any attention or customer care thereafter. But the Bank does not forget you. It reminds you if you do not remember to repay the monies. I feel it is a kind gesture on their part.

True that at least 100 families come to grief weekly through ICICI. But remember that they are favoured by your own government. All your top officials and ministers are on their payroll. That is how they get away with real homicide. I admire ICICI for caring two hoots even for reluctantly-made Supreme Court comments.

In consideration of the number of suicides/murders of customers, the ICICI Chairman was recently honoured with a Padmasree. Let us hope and pray that he would do better in the years to come and would be conferred the Bharath Ratna. He can do it if he exerts himself a bit more. My prayers for his success!
